In an interview last night with CNN's Larry King, President Barack Obama talked about the way forward after the flotilla incident in very constructive tones.
I was struck by the similarity of his approach to APN's language:
I was struck by the similarity of his approach to APN's language:
President Obama spoke about changing the blockade of Gaza in a manner that meets Israel security concerns and opens up opportunities for Palestinians. How do we go about doing that?
Well, Obama said that America needs to "work with all parties concerned - the Palestinian Authority, the Israelis, the Egyptians and others."
An APN Action Alert from Tuesday pressed the president to follow this path: "It is time for the President Barack Obama to show leadership on this issue. He should work with the international community - including Egypt, Israel, and the Palestinian Authority - to create a new security regime for Gaza," we said.

If Obama really means to get involved… first show respect for the Palestinians…
Israel is the perpetrator… It all started with Israel… 43 years of occupation, walls, settlements, roadblocks, bulldozers and water diversion… If Israel is the first factor… the instigator… and it is… then Obama must first recognize the rights and freedom of the Palestinians people and secondly the security of Israel…
Please understand… and don’t forget… it is the 43 years of occupation and settlements that have caused security concerns for Israel AND the UNITED STATES… Israeli problems start with their own actions...
