Al Tufula is a multipurpose pedagogical women's center, in Nazareth. It focuses on community based health promotion initiatives for Palestinian women in newly recognized or unrecognized villages in Israel.
Dar Al Kalima, based in Bethlehem, belongs to a consortium of three Lutheran based, ecumenically oriented organizations called DIYAR serving the Palestinian community in the Palestinian Authority with an emphasis on children, women and the elderly.
Juhayna Hussein works in Al-Tufula Center as a Coordinator of a public health project, run in three newly recognized Palestinian villages, in the North of Israel.
Ruba Simaan works in Al-Tufula center as a resource development coordinator.
This event is cosponsored by Healing Across the Divides, Americans for Peace Now, American Task Force on Palestine, Foundation for Middle East Peace and New Israel Fund.
Healing Across the Divides (www.healingdivides.org), founded in late 2004, brings together all constituencies (Christians, Muslims and Jews, in addition to interested individuals/groups) to assist Israeli/Palestinian health care organizations improve the health of Israelis and Palestinians within a community based framework.
