JTA Blog: "Trucking through D.C. with APN"

APN's moveable billboard will travel the streets of Washington the weekend before the inauguration

By Eric Fingerhut ú January 13, 2009

That's a photoshopped version of what Washingtonians, and those visiting for the inauguration, might see this weekend on the streets of the nation's capital. Americans for Peace Now has rented a "billboard truck" and will be driving it around the city with a peacemaking "to do" list, complete with "Yes, We Can!" next to the Israel-Palestine agenda item.

Somehow, though, "peace truck" doesn't have the same ring to it as Cat Stevens' famous "peace train."
