Dr. Lasensky is a Senior Research Associate at the United States Institute of Peace (USIP), which facilitated the work of the Baker-Hamilton Commission. He directs USIP's Iraq and Its Neighbors project. His research focuses on the Middle East and U.S. foreign policy toward the region.
Lasensky, who is also an adjunct assistant professor of government at Georgetown University, has also been a visiting assistant professor of international relations at Mount Holyoke College and a fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York and the Brookings Institution. He is a frequent commentator on BBC, CNN, Fox News, NPR, and other major media outlets.
